Honey Bee Savior of Man on earth – Life on earth might end
when Honey Bees disappear
After reading this headline you might be eager to know what
is the connection between Honey Bee and Life of a man on earth.
There was a famous quote –
“If the bee disappeared off the
surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more
bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.
If the bee disappears from the
surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live”
(Few claim its maid by brilliant physicist Albert Einstein
and few claims “Probably Not by Einstein”)
But still claim is very true
I will explain how it will happen: All fruits and vegetables we grow today are because
of bees which pollinate.
So if Bees die-off entirely then there will no pollination
so we will not get fruits and vegetables.
This will result in shortage of food and Mankind will start
fighting for food so in few days whole mankind will abolish.
According to one survey “Nearly a third of honey bee
colonies in the United States have been wiped out since 2006. The estimated
value of crops lost if bees were no longer able to pollinate fruits and vegetables
are around $15 billion.”
The US federal study released attributes the massive die-off
in American honey bee colonies to a combination of factors, including
pesticides, poor diet, parasites and a lack of genetic diversity.
As an individual how can I contribute to this and reduce Colony
collapse disorder (CCD) is a phenomenon.
- Try to spread the importance of honey bees and make more people aware of this by speaking with more people about this topic
- Educate farmers or people involved in taking decision to use more pesticides(three specific neonicotinoid pesticides pose an acute risk to honeybees) for their crops which cause killing of honey bees
- New research, though, suggests there may be an overlooked problem: the exhaust fumes produced by diesel-powered engines – so we need to avoid such events
- Support and spread - Ecological, organic farming
- Support and spread - Ban of seven most dangerous pesticides
